Escape lets you do what you want to do.

The 2019 Escape is capable in so many ways, offering versatile seating/cargo combinations. And it’s engineered to deliver the performance your lifestyle requires. Depending on the model you choose, you have a 2.5L iVCT, a 1.5L turbocharged EcoBoost® engine or a 2.0L Twin-Scroll EcoBoost rated at 245 horsepower. Handling control comes courtesy of standard AdvanceTrac® with Roll Stability Control™ , Curve Control and Torque Vectoring Control19 . For added traction, there’s available Intelligent 4WD, and if you need to tow, we offer a Class II Trailer Tow Package with a 2.0L EcoBoost engine and a max tow rating of up to 3,500 lbs. (1,587 kg).

AdvanceTrac® with Roll Stability Control™

Standard AdvanceTrac with Roll Stability Control (RSC) uses two gyroscopic sensors to monitor yaw and roll rates. This allows AdvanceTrac with RSC to help you maintain control whenever it detects wheelslip, understeer, oversteer or roll motion. It also helps maintain control in various road conditions such as ice, gravel or rain. AdvanceTrac with RSC also features Curve Control, which will slow the vehicle down when it senses that it’s going too fast for a particular curve. Trailer Sway Control, too, is included in the Class II Trailer Tow Package.

Maximum 3,500-lb. Towing Capacity

The 2019 Ford Escape Titanium has a maximum towing capacity of 3,500 lbs. (1,587 kg) when properly equipped with the 2.0L EcoBoost® Class II Trailer Tow Package. This package is also available on Escape SEL 4WD and Titanium. Trailer sway control technology and auxiliary transmission oil cooler are included in the package. When trailer sway is detected, the system automatically takes measures, such as applying precise braking or reduced engine torque, to help keep both the vehicle and the trailer under control.

Curve Control and Torque Vectoring Control

Curve Control can sense if you’re going too fast and slow the vehicle down using throttle reduction and anti-lock braking. Once you’re into the curve, G-forces tend to transfer more traction to the outside tires than to the inside ones. Standard Torque Vectoring Control enhances that by transferring torque to the wheels that have the most grip, reducing understeer and forcing the front end to hug the inside of the curve.

We designed the 2019 Ford Escape to make your life easier. It starts with available Intelligent Access with push-button start. You want to carry lots of cargo? No problem.
